Lore-wise, the charm Karma wears around his neck (Received from Eli) comes from one of this Xerneas's antlers and is reacting to her presence.
She's simply giving him much-needed comfort after his harsh times, almost like a mother.

My main point here is that this pic came from me hating myself and the way I was living for the past whatever weeks.

It seemed like my friends were giving up on me because of my ineptitude and nothing I do or say would ever get through to them, plus the fact that I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the direction my future is going; this made me want to just give up on everything and think long and hard.

But then I thought to myself that I still have a whole lot of time to see if things will turn around. Whether or not this is in my control, I have no idea.
All I want is for those happy times with everyone to come back.

And pardon me for quoting American History X here, but life's too short to be pissed off all the time, I guess.
